Text Box: Contaminated Land - Site investigations including a wide range of contaminants in soil, groundwater, storm water and discharges to air for an industrial site in South Australia. Based on the site Remediation Management Plan and Construction Environmental Management Plan, EBS is currently providing professional technical advice and supervising the remediation of the Text Box: Hydro geological Study - Managed a review of available information pertaining to the hydrogeology of the Ackaringa Basin in South Australia in relation to recharge and discharge areas, and connection with the Great Artesian Basin. This project involved an integrated approach including project team members from University, Consultant and the Client organizations. Text Box: Health Risk Assessment – Carried out a three-year international study on the uptake, metabolism and toxicology of cadmium in human populations with high intake of cadmium via food. The investigation was designed to assess the risk to human health from exposure to Cadmium in the environment through the food chain. This work was carried out in collaboration with US Environmental Text Box: Landfills – Providing project management and technical leadership for closed landfill investigations, development of the landfill closure and post-closure management plan for a City Council in South Australia. The issues associated with this landfill had high public profile and required sensitive consultation processes with the local community, Council, SA EPA and other regulatory Text Box: Water Quality & Catchments – Carried out a long-term (over 10yrs) monitoring and investigations in relation to Catchments Management & Water Quality of the Lower Waikato River. The report was critical for the decision to use Waikato River water as drinking water supply for the whole of Auckland Region, and was carried out for Auckland Regional Council (EPA), NZ. Text Box: Acid Sulphate Soil - Vibro drilling from a barge with divers in Brisbane, to collect sediment samples for acid sulphate analysis. Undertaking the initial acid sulphate testing before submitting selected samples to the laboratory for analysis.
